This is not a post about Monty Python. Nor is it a post about canned ham product. It’s a post, indeed, about the wealth of internet garbage that washes the shores of, yes, this very blog.
If your comments go missing, it’s because our overactive spam filter has eaten them. I clear it out, as does Dev, but often it’s far too late. Usually it’s because you’ve posted three times in a row, or put more than one link in, or something.
However, our filter is grand in that it actually gets all the real spam. Some of which is quite amusing.

I was going to do a post on Scottish-to-International English, but I’ve been too busy dicking around trying to avoid real work all day, so I’m giving you all a link just now that Yeebs provided: firstfoot.com. That should offer a decent insight into Scotland as a starter and tomorrow I’ll add to this post with some handy vocab.

According to an article published in the British Journal of Psychiatry[1], researchers have found a link between poor diet and depression, with those who eat more healthily having a 26% lower risk of future depression than those who don’t. If you want to put that the other way around, this means that if your diet consists mainly of processed foods, you have a 58% higher risk of future depression than those who eat more natural foods.
For those who are interested, there’s a BBC article on the latest Dr Who special, due to be aired on November 15.

Yes, yes, we do. I can confirm that Clom and myself read every single comment ever posted on every fic. And we appreciate the hell out of everyone who ever leaves a comment. Having someone delurk to post a comment on a fic that might have been completed a couple of years ago is a huge honour and we adore anyone who feels moved to do that. So, thank you to everyone who’s ever commented. You rock.
