School is going great. I am just a little busy, but the actual classes are very stimulating and make you think. That is what I like most about graduate level classes – great discussions and thought provoking.

Yeah I do. I have to call my coach and figure out the schedule. Hopefully, we will be playing all day, and I will need a ton of water.
In most years, we are right at the top of the league, but this year, we have a lot of new players and we are struggling.
How far do you have to travel for the games?
Just in town. Maybe 15 to 20 minutes. There are a ton of softball fields and different leagues around here.
I had heard from friends that you guys have a harder time because so many of the fields are at schools. Is that your experience?
Not around here. For the womens team I play on we have some nice fields just down the road from my apartment. For my other team we play at one of the county parks.
That sounds like us. Tons of parks. We have a city league, a county league, various church leagues, and other leagues. It is actually quite easy to play most of the year – except for the winter because of the snow.
On a different team I played for, we did venture out of town for tournaments. We went to Vancouver, WA and other places. That was a lot of fun.
Yeah that sounds about the same around here. My Wednesday night league the fields we play on are AstroTurf its really nice.
I have never played on turf. Does the ball come at you really fast?
If so, maybe that is why you have such a horrible bruise!
Just the outfield was. No the ball doesn’t come at you any faster really. It just makes it really hard if you miss play the ball and it gets by you.

Yep that is pretty much it. The team that we played on Tuesday is a Division D tournement team and since we are just a rec team they killed us. I think the first game they won 15-4 and the second was 21-6 I think
I hate that! Were they at least good sports and nice? So often I find that good teams are really arrogant, and I can’t stand them.
A couple were okay. The rest were pretty arrogant. What I hate about times like that is that they can pretty much hit the ball where ever they want but they stand up there an wait for the perfect pitch and then complain if they get walked.
I can totally relate to what you are saying. As I am playing, I am literally hoping they hit the ball to me so that I can make the play and wipe the smirk off their face.
I play fairly well, but I think I am really nice. I go out of my way to talk to the other team and be a good sport. You do not have to be an arrogant ass just to win.
*high 5’s* I really wish others were like that. I mean that girl that hit the ball that hit me. She felt so bad she didn’t even try to run to first and the next time she came up she purposely just popped it up.

The guy that hit me kept running, made it to second, eventually came to third where I was playing, and did not say a word. His is the team that I cannot stand playing, which makes it that much worse that I missed the ball. Every time I play them, I cannot wait to make every play and demoralize them, which is so unlike me. The things I feel inside, I do not like, but unfortunately, that team brings it out in me.
We all have those teams/players.

Ooh, that is a tough question. I am really big on being with family. I think I would love somewhere beautiful, warmer weather. I have spent a great deal of time in Hawaii and love the look of the place but not sure about the culture as much. How about you?

Very rough landing. I think half of Lake Washington ended up in my lungs also.
Since my dad is from Michigan it has to be American cars. My Parents where just back there and couldn’t get an American made car so one of my uncles refused to ride in it.
I probably should not tell this, but the first time I waterski’d, I got up on the skis correctly, but I could not tell. I kept in a bent position, when all I really needed to do was stand up, and I would have been doing great. When I came back to the dock, I kept feeling water run down my leg, and I could not figure it out. I had a rather good quality enema from keeping my bottom low in the water. Since then, I have improved – LOL.
Yeah, most of my family buys American. I just want a quality car. Both of our cars are American at the moment, but if the best thing available the next time is not, we will probably buy it.

I agree. I have so much fun on the ocean – beach combing, watching the storms come in, looking for sea otters, but swimming in salt water is not as much fun. We are lucky with the abundance of fresh water lakes we have in our state.
