I went grocery shopping with mum earlier and as I walk by the section with the magazines, there was one in particular that stood out. It was right in the middle, big, bright and shiny “L.Mag” a lesbian magazine! Here! In my hometown! Where the “out” population might not be more than 0,05%!

First two songs are kind of introductions, 3rd is Spencer making herself known to Ashley, 4th is Ashley seeing her under the streetlight, 5th is because they’re young and tragic, 6th is kinda sorta how Spencer unpacked and set up Ashley’s room, 7th is sadness again because they realize they can’t really ever touch without causing Spencer pain, 8th is because they’re dancing, duh, and 9th is because it works perfectly for the story and that Langley Schools record is awesome.

Where to start with Pink… can I say everything? Her entrance was CLASS. The dancers were great, the guitarist, the drummer. Her cover of I Touch Myself was okay. I liked the performance rather than her cover of it ;-). Bohemian Rhapsody was epic. Just Like a Pill… every song was awesome. Her body was out.of.this.world, and her husky little laugh was <3

Yes, a run of a few good games. But we lost recently to Villa, so important that dont get complacent.
I prefer watching though because then if they do win you get to enjoy the high.
When Italy made the world cup final in 2006 my brother suggested we went for a long walk on the day of the final, away from radios etc. But we both knew we wouldnt. You have to watch, and sometimes suffer the lows, for the times when you have the highs.

We have Veterans Day Yeebs, also November 11. We don’t wear poppies though.
Yes, we call it Veteran’s Day though. Same day, same purpose. Yours has more ceremony though, with the poppies and all. There’s a whole talk about it at Westminster, the Queen Mum, etc.

as a nation we do seem to like our ceremony.
Some people wear pins, but as far as I am aware, there is no concerted effort to all wear the same pins. I have seen people wearing flags, some wear ribbons, but many people wear nothing at all.
The most common tradition I notice is that people raise the American at their homes. That is what we do.
Something patriotic, I suppose. My granny has a special pin that she wears, but we don’t have anything particular.

Over here, you can practically decorate your entire house in the team logo. I have seen bathroom shower hooks, shower curtains, rugs, grill covers, patio furniture, kitchen appliances, etc with the team logo. In fact, I have seen a couple of houses in my alma maters colors (crimson and gray), with flags, giant team logos on the side of the house, cars to match. It can get pretty crazy.

Last time I went to stamford bridge they had free face painting (cfc logos on cheeks etc). And I wanted face painting! But the other people there were like 6 year old girls who were about as tall as my knee….so I had to be all grown up and sad and couldnt get it.
