Okay, so here’s the deal. Like the Musical Extravaganza, this is not a thread for too much discussion, but feel free to dive on in and have a chat about other people’s choices.
The thread is open to everyone in the world. Don’t feel that you have to be a PG regular to take part. I know some people find the PG a bit intimidating (it’s not, they’re just a bit nuts), so feel free to dip your toe in the commenting waters here.
The rules are simple. You have two choices:
1. You recommend a movie to the rest of us in the following format:
Movie name
IMDB / Wikipedia link
Reasons for recommending it
Because they’re short links, I’m waving the rules on using a URL shortener. You can post the Wikipedia or IMDB link directly onto the page. If you want to add a YouTube link to a clip from the movie, that’s grand, but use the URL shortener for that and tell us that it’s a YouTube link.
or
2. You ask for recommendations on a theme / by a certain director / starring a certain actress, e.g. “Can you recommend a good movie starring Pauly Shore?” (The answer to this question is obviously ‘No’, so that was probably a bad choice.)
One movie per post only. Don’t worry about double or treble posting. You’re allowed.
Oh, and try to keep it relatively clean.

I’ve seen it over 30 times, it’s that good. I really like the way it ends, and it has ABBA galore in it. I don’t think I need to say anything more than that.

If you love movies, watch it
[I would totally echo this. It is a cracking movie. Also, bring hankies. I wept like a little girl. In a good way. It's not sad or anything. Oh, just watch it and you'll see what we mean. Dev]
Léon: The professional
trailer : http://snipurl.com/742xi youtube
This is one of my favourite movies.
A fantastic Jean Reno, a fantastic Gary Oldman but above all a fantabulous Natalie Portman. Leòn was her feature film debut and despite that, she acts so well that she seems a professional actress.
Leòn is a hitman, a solitary who has nothing to lose and that’s why he’s the best at doing what he does. That will change when Mathilda will enter his life..
I love the relationship between Leòn (Reno) and Mathilda(Portman).
Enjoy!
